The Instructors
Donald Fraser is the piano, organ, theory, arranging, and orchestration instructor. Donald has the BMUS degree from Mount Allison University and the MMUS degree from The University of Toronto and has over 35 years experience performing and writing in various styles.
D. Melanie Walsh-Fraser is the clarinet instructor and has the BMUS degree from UPEI and has a range of experience playing in local ensembles.
With over 30 years in professional theatre, Donald is also a vocal coach in all styles.
Piano lessons at the studio are taught on the Steinway model "B" piano.
Royal Conservatory of Music Piano Instruction
Any level of Royal Conservatory Piano instruction is offered. Donald can prepare you for music festivals, RCM exams, or just for the personal enjoyment of learning the music! Participation in local Registered Music Teacher’s Association recitals is also possible. Lessons are held in Stratford or Charlottetown.
Organ Instruction
Organ instruction is also offered. If you already have piano background, you should consider learning to play the organ.
There is a shortage of people who have training on the organ, pipe or electronic.
Clarinet Instruction
Melanie would be pleased to guide you as you discover playing the clarinet. From beginners to more advanced training, all students are welcome
